My name is Magnus McLeod. I paint commissioned
portraits of loved ones, ancestors and pets, portraying physical features with
perfect realism and revealing vividly personality and character. I
paint electronically because electronic portraits come closest to
perfection. It also enables me to utilize the best source materials
available. To see one of my favourite portraits, with copper jewellery
derived entirely from my imagination, please click the
thumbnail on the left. Please bear in mind that you will see a 62 KB
JPEG, a very poor substitute for the 25 MB TIFF original! For more information on my work and electronic painting,
please click Text only. To
see more examples of my portraits, please click Mike, Harriet,
Oohna or Leila. For an
example of a portrait showing the subject thirty years younger, please click Self-Portrait.
Victorian Colonel is an example of an
historical portrait, and Two Dogs is a memorial
portrait of two much-loved pets. For further insights into my work,
please click Sketch of the
Artist's Wife. For
a practical example of what I mean by perfection, please click Miniature
Armour. For information on commissioning a portrait, please click Office.
